Incredibly kind staff who assessed my hamster promptly and prescribed me the necessary medication. Clean and comfortable facility, with more than reasonable prices.

A few years ago I lost my beloved Akita Roxy, and I was very angry at the world and swore I'd never come into Allans again as it held too many sad memories. Since getting my second Akita, we've been attending Allans and they have been amazing. He absolutely adores the girls at the desk, he's certainly very sassy and chatty with the vets but he loves coming in to Allans and has done since he was a tiny 7 week old puppy. They are always there for advice and guidance and recently my collie got into some of my akitas puppy vitamins and ate 90 tablets, Allans took her in and cared for her and when I picked her up she didn't want to leave them lol. They are a great vet, and the girls at the desk are so kind and helpful, they will really try to accommodate you as best they can.

Extremely disappointed. A visit for a broken nail turned into a life-threatening allergic reaction after my dog got an antibiotic injection. He had swelling, trouble breathing, vomiting, diarrhea, and severe distress, and the clinic failed to respond appropriately. My son reported it, but we were told sedation at extra cost was needed before any check. I had to treat him at home myself. No refund was given, and we were charged extra for a problem they caused. Terrifying experience—I cannot trust this clinic.

Wonderful vets. We were up from Manchester for a quick break. Dog had damaged his foot on first night. We called this practice the next morning and they were ever so helpful. Much better than any vets down here and far cheaper too! Dog recovered within a few days.

I have used allan vets for years now (family dogs) and now have my own 3 cats which are all registered with the practice. I have nothing but positive things to say about this vets, they always get my cats seen to in a timely manner (often the same day if there’s space). They explain thoroughly the treatments and what’s going on with the pets & also inform you of costs along the way so there are no nasty surprises! They even offer a cat only clinic if your cats are nervous about the vets. I’ve had to attend quite often with each of my cats recently and the cats are made to feel as comfortable as possible. Every member of staff i have encountered at this vets have been lovely! The reception team are amazing, so friendly and kind, always greeting us with a smile! The vets genuinely care about each animal they see within the practice which is so rare to find, a lot of places are focused on the money, this place is definitely not focused on money but rather focused on quality of care. Honestly, i would say that this is a very reasonably priced vets especially since it’s an independent one. I would absolutely recommend if you’re looking for a vet practice who genuinely care. Thanks to everyone at the practice!
